Ministry Description

One Mission Society USA, Inc. (OMS USA), an evangelical faith mission founded in 1901 as The Oriental Missionary Society, supports the worldwide organization of One Mission Society Global, Inc. OMS USA, a founding member of ECFA, serves as a missionary sending agency and provides support services for its global effort of engaging the one to reach the many through multiplying disciples, churches, leaders, and missionaries in Africa, Asia/Pacific, Europe/Middle East, and Latin America/Caribbean. OMS USA is one of five global signatory organizations comprising One Mission Society Global, Inc., collectively known as OMS or One Mission Society, which has approximately 400 missionaries in 78 nations. OMS was founded on the principle that the most effective way to reach a nation is to train its sons and daughters to become disciple-makers to reach their own people for Christ. OMS then joins those new disciple-makers in global partnerships to reach the rest of the world.

This ministry utilizes four programs to help meet its goals: a proactive ministry, street-outreach ministry, a drop-in center and a rehab and integration program. All four of these ministries work together to help children and young people get off and stay off the streets, and each child is also given a Gospel presentation, which is the only true hope they have.
With almost 100 students studying for the various degrees offered, MECS is looking to make an impact in Moscow and other parts of Russia. As is the case with many of OMS’ seminaries around the world, the students attending MECS cannot afford to pay the entire amount needed to cover their costs. Sponsors in the United States help offset some of these costs.
