Orphan Care Alliance (OCA) equips, connects and mobilizes Christians to serve all vulnerable children and families. Our vision is for the Body of Christ to lead the efforts of caring for the foster care and adoptive community in Kentucky and southern Indiana. Orphan Care Alliance aims to lower the number of children entering state care through our Family Preservation program which intervenes at the first sign of issues with the ultimate goal of keeping the family together. For the kids already in state care, OCA offers Life Coaching for ages 12 to adults. A trusted adult walks with their mentee through life's challenges and successes. Family Support works with families who choose foster or adoption of children needing a trusted and stable home. OCA provides training, support, and resources to these families all along the journey of raising these children.

When crisis strikes and circumstances become overwhelming many of us turn to relatives or friends for support. Yet, for some families, due to poverty and social isolation, this is not an option. That’s where Family Preservation steps in. Using a team approach, Family Preservation wraps around vulnerable families, giving them connection and stability to move forward through tough circumstances with the ultimate goal of keeping the family together and stopping children from entering into state ca
Our Family Support ministry is here for you if you are a foster/adoptive family, a kinship family, or just beginning the adoption process. We offer adoption loans and grants through our partnership with Lifesong for Orphans, OCA Connect groups for support/community. If you are just beginning the adoption process, consider attending one of our Adoption Option classes. And if you are already in the trenches of foster/adoptive parenting, one of our trainings on trauma based on various interventi

Most teens aging out of the foster care system rarely have any healthy relationships with parents, family members, or adults. This is where OCA Life Coaches play an integral role. (Proverbs 11:14) Life Coaches are followers of Jesus who walk alongside a pre-teen or teen, typically ages 12-21, with a foster care experience. Life Coaches have the opportunity to meet young people where they are, know their story, and build relationships to show them the love of Christ and the dignity they possess a
OCA partners with churches throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana to implement our programs to serve vulnerable children and families in and around the foster and adoptive communities. To do this we utilize Regional Ministry Leaders to seek out and engage these churches. Donating to this fund will support the current as well as help us grow the staff of Regional Ministry Leaders to reach and engage more churches to serve more children and families.
The OCA Care Community provides wrap around support by meeting tangible, financial and the everyday needs of vulnerable children and families in and around the foster and adoptive communities.
